12 Biblical Prophesies Pointing to the End Times

There are thousands of prophecies concerning Jesus, governments, historical figures, world leaders, etc. Most have already come true with a few about to transpire in the very end of the age. Here are 12 concerning the “end times,” (the time before Jesus’ return).

1. Israel will be dispersed. 

Deuteronomy 28:64-66 and Leviticus 26

Although there were Jewish diasporas since antiquity, the current dissolution of the Jewish nation started with the Roman destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD and lasted all the way until the end of WWII.

2. Jews will experience persecution throughout the world.

This is well documented since the times of ancient Pharaohs, on through the Assyrians, Babylonians, all the way to Stalin and Hitler and the PLO.

3. In the last days Jews will return to their homeland.

Ezekiel 37

This actually began to grow in popularity as early as the 1860s, increasing through Zionist movements until 1948.

4. The order in which the Jews returned to the land of Israel’s was prophesied in this specific order: East, West, North, and South.

Isaiah 43:5-6

History has shown that the Jews returned first in the 1930s from the Middle East, then Western Europe at the end of WWII, from Russia starting in 1989, and finally Ethiopia in 1991. exactly as foretold in Scripture.

5. Israel becomes a “nation in a day.”

In a miraculous turn of events, Israel, who did not exist for 2000 years, instantly became a nation in 1948. On May 14, 1948, Great Britain withdrew her mandate, and immediately Israel was declared a sovereign state.

6. Jerusalem will become the center of world tension.

Zechariah 12

What used to be a backwater barren wilderness of the Ottoman Empire now is the most hotly contested real estate on Earth.


7. The lost language of Hebrew will be restored to Israel as well as the bringing back of the currency of the shekel.

8. In the last days pools of water will appear in the desert.

9. The land of Israel will become fruitful in the sense of produce, trees, etc.

Through aforementioned irrigation, ideal weather, and intentional planting and agricultural efforts, Israel has become a world leader in agricultural research and development, produce, and export.


10. Man-made and natural disasters increase.

Ezekiel 36:35, Isaiah 27:6, Isaiah 35:1

11. Increase in lawlessness, moral, and social breakdown.
