First Chinese Baptist Church Gets a Major Makeover!
Come grow with us! Leung Ministries is now partnering with Park Vista Christian Church, formerly known as First Chinese Baptist Church. Tim has accepted the call to help pastor this little church that is in need of an exciting and new vision. One hundred sixty-four years ago, shortly after the California Gold Rush, forward-minded individuals spurred on by the compassion of Jesus Christ saw the need to start a chapel for the Chinese here in Sacramento. From the baptism of 15 Chinese believers, a humble church was born.
Through the years, faithful men and women made courageous sacrifices, growing the little chapel into what became the First Chinese Baptist Church of Sacramento. The church is now at a stage in its life cycle where many would pack it up and call it a day. Yet, God has impressed upon her people's heart to rise up like a phoenix, stretch her wings, and learn to fly again, launching out in faith in the God of the Impossible. Are you at a place in your life where you are ready for a new spiritual challenge? Come with us as we launch out upon God's faithfulness to bring revival to the heart of Sacramento.
